With the collaboration of Ballet legend Karen Brown, and Co-Host Devon McLeod, Associate Producer of the New York Dance Festival and former Coordinator of Major Gifts and the Young Patrons Circle at the New York City Ballet; the Black Ballerina Summit is a celebration and acknowledgement for women of color-and those of any gender, who taught, supported, and promoted access in Classical Ballet through; technique innovation, teaching, philanthropy, or employment. The Summit is about people of any race and gender that have supported and helped pave the way for people of color in Ballet by acknowledging them and Black Ballerinas. It’s for any person wishing to contribute to a robust and inspired tomorrow, today.

The Black Ballerina Summit is part of the Black Ballet Discovery Project, Genius Initiative, and Archive: Our supported infrastructure solution for the problem of Blacks in Ballet.
